Adil is a Senior Managing Director, Portfolio Manager of Market Independent Strategies and Head of Risk at Protégé Partners. Prior to joining Protégé in 2003, he managed a mortgaged-backed securities hedge fund and served as a Senior Advisor at Capital Market Risk Advisors. While at CMRA, Adil performed manager search and due diligence for funds of funds in addition to valuation projects for troubled hedge funds. From 1991-1999, Adil traded mortgage products at JP Morgan (1991-1993), Nikko Securities (1993-1995), Nomura Securities (1995-1997) and Barclays Capital (1997-1999). While at Barclays, Adil was a Director of Securitized Product Derivatives and traded and structured Asset-Backed and Mortgage-Backed Derivatives as well as ran the Systems and Analytics Group for these products. Adil received a M.A. in Mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1990 and a B.A. in Mathematics from University of Pennsylvania in 1986. Adil also invented the Bias Ratio used by practitioners to detect return smoothing by active managers.
